Kandy, Sri Lanka... The City We Didn't Want to Leave

We spent two weeks living in Kandy, Sri Lanka, and by the end, we genuinely didn't want to leave. In this video, we explore everything Kandy has to offer: walking around the iconic Kandy Lake, visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, exploring the Royal Botanical Gardens and Udawatekele Forest Reserve, and eating our way through some incredible local and western food. But the real story of Kandy for us wasn't the sightseeing, it was the friendship we built with our tuk tuk driver and his family, who welcomed us into their home for lunch and an afternoon at the park playing football and cricket.
