Bogor City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Eko Prasetyo, revealed that the incident began when a trailer truck carrying gallons of water experienced brake failure while traveling from Puncak towards Jakarta. "The truck was traveling from Ciawi towards Jakarta and experienced brake failure while passing through the Ciawi 2 Toll Gate. The vehicle then hit a row of vehicles conducting e-toll transactions," he explained on Wednesday (February 5, 2025).
