Sycamore Community Schools ALICE Training
The safety and security of our students and staff are very important to us. In order to maintain a safe environment for teaching and learning, it is necessary that we practice our emergency and crisis response plans by having drills designed to exercise our procedures. ALICE is a federally endorsed safety protocol that stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate. ALICE is not intended to be a checklist of things to do, but rather a list of choices, which accompanying strategies that are options for our staff and students to stay safe in the event of an armed intruder.
