Ducati Monster 1200 Ölwechsel mit Exkurs Motorölansaugfilter & Warmfahren / DIY

Today... it's time for a DIY oil change. We're doing a complete oil change on the 2016 Monster 1200 S, including torque specifications and excursions into the topics of the engine oil intake filter and warming up. Ducati only checks the engine oil intake filter during the first 1,000 km service, but it can't hurt to check it at some point before the plastic becomes brittle. A motorcycle mechanic recommended checking it every "few years," so I was curious... it would have been necessary for the 2016 model, and certainly not after 30,000 km. So don't go crazy, but after 10 years or more than 60,000 km, I'd want to replace it... Standard torques: Oil drain plug: 20 Nm Oil filter: 11 Nm or just hand-tight, that's enough! Screws for the engine oil intake filter: 10 Nm (8 should be enough) Monster 1200 S, 2016 I look for all spare parts for my Ducati motorcycles in the original Ducati spare parts catalog on their website. It's nice with exploded diagrams, very helpful! And with the part numbers, you can then search for them 😉 that way, nothing goes wrong. Good luck to all those "do-it-yourselfers" with your repairs! I'm not a motorcycle mechanic, I'm just showing you how I do it.... Greetings, Thomas aka DUCStyle Also on Instagram, check it out!   / thomas.ducstyle
