Intended to stop Allied bombers in Germany during the final years of the war, the Me 163 Komet became one of the most dangerous chapters in aviation history. It climbed faster than any conventional fighter of its era, yet its greatest threat wasn't solely the enemy. Short engine runtime, extreme speed, risky landings, and dangerous fuel made the Komet a machine caught between technological audacity and a deadly paradox.
