【支線と本線が合流！】 東北本線 岩切駅 接近放送＆発着シーン

I took vido of trains arriving & departing at Iwakiri Station on the Tōhoku Line. Iwakiri Station is an above-ground station with two island platforms and four tracks, and is served by two lines: the Tōhoku Line and the Senseki-Tōhoku Line. The Rifu Branch Line, a branch of the Tōhoku Line, also branches off and merges at this station. The Rifu Branch Line was formerly the old Tōhoku Line, and originally this line was part of the line route from Iwakiri Station to Shinainuma Station via Rifu Station. However, in 1944, towards the end of the war, a new line was opened via Shiogama Station, and the "Mountain Line", which is now the Rifu Branch Line, and the "Sea Line", the current main line, coexisted for a while, but in 1962, when the "Sea Line" was double-tracked, the old line between Rifu Station and Matsushima was abolished, and the current state was established. The number of trains, including those on the Rifu Branch Line, increases to 5 trains per hour heading towards Sendai during rush hour, but since the Rifu Branch Line trains turn around at this station during the day, the number of trains does not increase to 2-3 trains per hour. There are 1-2 trains per hour heading towards Rifu, and 2-3 trains per hour heading towards Matsushima & Kogota.
