For more than 50 years, the destination has acquired international fame thanks to its vast ski area for all levels of 225 kilometers of slopes. Since 2003, La Plagne has been a component resort of Paradiski (the ski area which connects it with the neighboring resorts of Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry). The La Plagne station is in fact a group of 10 stations: 6 high altitude resorts (Aime la Plagne, Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Center and Plagne 1800), all located directly at the foot of the slopes, connected free of charge from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, thus allowing holidays without a car 4 village resorts (Champagny en Vanoise, Plagne Montalbert, Montchavin and Les Coches) giving access to the entire ski area.
