This VW Bug Is Secretly a Jeep Cherokee XJ

What happens when you take a rusty 1968 VW Bug body and drop it onto a chopped-up 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ chassis? Pure off-road madness. 🤘 In this episode, the real fabrication begins as we mount the classic VW Beetle body onto the Jeep XJ frame to create the ultimate 4x4 Bug build. We cut, measure, weld, and test fit everything to see if this wild idea will actually work. The Bug may be vintage, but underneath it’s all Jeep toughness. This build is turning into one insane trail machine with solid axles, big tires, and full custom fabrication. Nothing about this project is bolt-on — every inch has to be modified to make the old-school VW body fit the Cherokee chassis. 🔥 In this video: Mounting the 1968 VW Bug body onto the XJ chassis Cutting and trimming the body for fitment Custom fabrication and frame work First look at the Bug sitting on Jeep suspension Huge progress on the “JawBreaker” 4x4 build If you’re into off-road builds, custom fabrication, Jeep XJs, rock crawlers, or air-cooled Volkswagens, this project is built for you. 👍 Like, Subscribe, and follow the build as we turn this crazy idea into a trail-ready monster. #VWBug #JeepXJ #OffRoadBuild #4x4Bug #VolkswagenBeetle #JeepCherokee #CustomFabrication #RockCrawler #JawBreaker #HeathenMotorsports
