Following the murder, several media reports and social media posts had claimed that Ketan was killed after his fiancée, Siya Goyal, allegedly came to know that he used a hair patch due to hair loss. Refuting these claims, Ketan's father said the reports are completely false. He clarified that Ketan did have a minor hair loss issue and used a hair patch, but this fact had already been disclosed to Siya and her family before the engagement. He added that if Siya had any objections, she could have declined the marriage proposal, and that such an issue alone could not be the reason for a planned murder.
