Another one of Robert Montgomery's hour-long productions from 1948. The one hour episodes didn't catch on back then, but now they're one of my most popular Playlists. I've always liked them too, and I think they didn't catch on back then was for several reasons. One thing I've noticed is most of the stories Montgomery chose had already been done, so listeners may have taken them as repeats. The ratings went down so of course CBS took notice, then changed 'em back to 30 minutes.
