Jamie Pearce - 'Tabloid Queen [Radio Mix]' (2003)

Seasoned music industry pros Clive Scott (Boyzone, Nicki French, The Nolans) and Ian Levine (Take That, Hazell Dean, Bad Boys Inc.) wrote Euro-pop flavoured 'Tabloid Queen', the debut single by Jamie Pearce. Production on the track was handled by Swedish songwriter and producer Daniel Eklund at Murlyn Studios, who has written several Melodifestivalen entries and penned tracks for Swedish pop acts like Nikki Webster, Emma Andersson and Natalia. In the run-up to the single's release, Pearce supported boy band Blue on their 'All Rise' 2002 arena tour. 'Tabloid Queen' was released in early 2003 on Cent Records, an independent label set-up specifically to cater to Jamie's output. Remixes were commissioned, in house, garage and R&B styles, courtesy of Shanghai Suprize and Dodge. The single managed two weeks on the UK independent singles chart, hitting #42, but Jamie would score another chart placing in 2007. His 'More Than Enough' single also hit #42, this time on the physical singles chart. In the four years in between, Jamie wrote and recorded his debut album, also titled 'More Than Enough', which was in more of a "piano driven pop rock" style and eschewed 'Tabloid Queen' entirely. Also, in 2007, Jamie was the warm-up act for a Westlife show in Nottingham and joined Blue's Simon Webbe on his solo tour.
