Dr. Gurinder Kaur is an educationist, researcher, music educator, and graded vocalist with All India Radio, New Delhi. After a distinguished career in education, she retired as Principal from a Government school and has continued to dedicate herself to the study, practice, and application of Hindustani Classical Music. With a deep-rooted foundation in Hindustani Classical Music, Dr. Gurinder Kaur has conducted extensive research on its therapeutic effects on the human mind and body. In recognition of her significant contribution to this field, she was awarded a Senior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture for her research exploring the healing potential of Indian classical music and its role in enhancing emotional, mental, and physical well-being. As a Certified Advanced Music Therapist, Dr. Guri integrates music-based therapeutic techniques to design and facilitate programs focused on stress management, relaxation, emotional balance, senior wellness, child development, and holistic health. Her work combines traditional musical wisdom with contemporary therapeutic approaches, making music a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. Dr. Gurinder Kaur continues to conduct music therapy sessions, workshops, lectures, and musical performances, sharing her expertise and promoting the transformative benefits of Indian classical music for individuals and communities alike.
