I arrived at an abandoned village in south-central Argentina called Epecuen, a town that had to be evacuated due to the uncontrolled flooding of Lake Epecuen, which ended up destroying the entire town and, along with it, the cemetery. That cemetery remained covered by salt water on that side for years, until, over time, the water began to recede, revealing the absolute destruction and abandonment left behind in that once-visited cemetery. Today, the cemetery has become nothing more than ruins, and some of its tombs and crypts remain standing, attempting to demonstrate the beauty and splendor that this cemetery once was.
