Fortitude is another gift of the Holy Spirit that enables us to fight and conquer the enemies of our salvation in the midst of temptation, difficulties and persecution. Among the four cardinal or human virtues, only fortitude is considered as one of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. Human virtues are those habits that perfect the powers of our soul. Our woundedness demands the need of fortitude to conquer our selfish inclination, and be courageous to do good. Now, let's listen a brief theological analysis of the gift of fortitude.
