After 2 years living here, I thought I knew England until I visited North Yorkshire

For two years, I thought I knew England. I had visited famous cities, beautiful villages, historic towns and stunning landscapes. But a week in North Yorkshire showed me a side of England I had never truly seen. From the peaceful villages of Thornton Dale, Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham, Lealholm, Goathland, Rosedale to the dramatic landscapes of the North York Moors, the historic Lion Inn, the fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, Robin Hood's Bay and the unforgettable coastline around Whitby and Scarborough, this journey became much more than a sightseeing trip. What stayed with me wasn't just the beauty of these places. It was their stories. The story of Captain Cook. The story of Heartbeat. The stories hidden in old railway stations, village churches, fishing harbours and country roads. This video is part of my series "After 2 Years in England", where I reflect on the places that have shaped my understanding of this country. Because sometimes it's the places we least expect that leave the deepest impression. 📍 Places featured: Thornton Dale, Pickering, Goathland, Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham, Rosedale Abbey, Danby, Lealholm, Helmsley, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Whitby and Scarborough, Robin Hood's Bay Thank you for watching.
