Finding Invisible Beauty in Poetry
This is a video essay/ analysis of Lee Chang-dong's Poetry (2010). At surface level it seems like a simple movie about an elderly lady writing a poem but it is much more than that. Poetry is a story with many layers like many of Lee Chang-dong's films, and there are a lot to touch upon but in this video I wanted to talk about one major point specifically that is one of the main concepts of the movie - Invisible Beauty. Poetry in essence is about see the beauty around you, that invisible beauty we overlook in our own lives. So in this video I talk about Lee Chang-dong's masterpiece Poetry.
