In 2008, Chilean Patagonia was in the news worldwide, as a long-unknown volcano erupted. Nearly four thousand people had to be evacuated from their homes in record time, as there was fear that a new Pompeii would occur with the huge cloud of toxic smoke of more than 30km that came out of that volcano.
