My initial inspiration was to do an evil witch who needs to use the youth of children to restore her to her younger self. This was a play off of one of my favorite fairytales, Stardust. I wanted to incorporate the main theme from Hansel and Gretel as well, so I sort of mashed the two together, came up with the idea of my own makeup and threw a little white witch Narnia spin on it.
