We actually just wanted to give it a quick renovation. Unfortunately, that didn't work out, as the old Eriba caravan was in much worse condition than we expected. So we completely dismantled the Hymer Eriba caravan, painstakingly sanded and repainted the rusty frame, rebuilt the floor, installed the interior trim, and even insulated it. It's been a long process up to this point, and we've had quite a few upsets. Every job was delayed, and at times we really didn't know if we'd ever finish the 40-year-old Eriba caravan. While renovating the caravan, the caravan roof became a real problem, which delayed the entire project again.
