► You can find everything you need for your wood project in our DIY shop: https://www.holz-liebling-diy.de/ In this video, we look at an important yet overlooked aspect of building your own table. This time, we're focusing on the topic of rabbeting strips. Every good solid wood table, no matter how skillfully crafted, is essentially insured against warping with a rabbeting strip. Marco shows the easiest way to install rabbeting strips. We use rabbeting strips made of solid raw steel, which are first cleaned and treated with furniture wax to prevent them from reacting with the tannic acid in the oak. Then we cut the appropriate grooves into the wood with the router and screw the rabbeting strips to the table. Of course, there are many other ways to install rabbeting strips, for example, concealed, but in this video, we'll limit ourselves to the quickest and easiest solution that any skilled DIY enthusiast can easily manage in their own workshop. 0:00 Introduction 2:50 Preparing the chamfer strips/What they do 9:20 Required tools/Procedure 12:07 Which router do we use? 13:23 Marking grooves 15:32 Routing grooves with a router 17:26 Alternative approaches 19:23 Installing the chamfer strips You can find all of our solid wood products in our online shop as always: ► https://www.holz-liebling.de/ You can find solid wood panels for your DIY project at: ► https://www.holzplatten-zuschnitt.de/ Wooden tables, tabletops, and table frames are available at: ► https://www.holztisch-atelier.de/ If you enjoyed the video, please give us a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel so we can continue to show you many cool videos about wood in the future.
