1120 - Blackpool Tramway: Trams & buses around Fleetwood Fisherman's Walk on Thursday 2nd July 2026

Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 1120. On Thursday 2nd July 2026, we filmed trams and buses around Fleetwood Fisherman's Walk including Archway Travel, Blackpool Transport and the Tramway Replacement service between Fisherman's Walk and Fleetwood Ferry due to the ongoing closure of Lord Street. The Tramway Replacement service bus was 234 (YX18KWO). The trams we saw were Bombardier Flexity 2s: 002 004 006 007 008 011AD 013AD 014AD It is not yet known when Lord Street will reopen but it cannot do so until the gutted former Catalogue Shop is demolished or, at least, made safe. Until then trams can only terminate at Fisherman's Walk. The loss of revenue to Blackpool Transport alone must be enormous as all bus services have had to be diverted as well leaving Lord Street and its shop and shopkeepers bereft of passing trade and takings. The sooner the road opens, the better it will be for everyone and the owners of the burnt out building should be taking responsibility and clearing it soon.
