Menuju kota terakhir sebelum masuk Pakistan: Tashkurgan

The farther west I go, the more it feels like I’m no longer on Earth. From Kashgar to Tashkurgan, I rode through the towering Pamir Mountains via the Karakoram Highway — one of the most spectacular routes in the world. Turquoise Karakul Lake, towering rocky cliffs, barren valleys, and majestic snow-capped peaks… it all felt like a scene straight out of a sci-fi movie. But this was real. Tashkurgan proudly stands over 3,000 meters above sea level. The temperature was around 10°C, but the wind from the Pamirs sent chills down my spine. They say this is the meeting point of three giants: the Himalayas, Tian Shan, and Karakoram. Wild, right? When we arrived in town, it was bustling — turned out there was a Buzkashi match going on. It’s a traditional Tajik sport that’s as fierce as it gets: horseback riders battling over a goat carcass. Unique, intense, and majestic. Amid the chaos, a little boy approached me. His name was Yusuf. He said he loved my bike and wanted to be a racer one day. That moment hit deep — knowing I could spark a dream in a kid at the edge of the world. If you ask me why I love traveling, Tashkurgan might just be the answer. Keep riding, keep chasing the wind. 🏍️💨🌏
