We visited Edison's "mini-hydro" plant in Quassolo, a hydroelectric power station in the province of Turin, along the Dora Baltea River. It is capable of producing up to 2,700 kW of energy, enough to supply the needs of approximately 3,000 families annually. We show you the entire production process, where the kinetic energy of 75,000 liters of water per second is transformed first into mechanical energy and then into electricity for transport to the national grid.
