#Orchestration #FilmScoring #Composer In this course, we're writing a hybrid orchestral score. Contemporary cinematic music in the 21st century is very rarely purely orchestral. Even the scores that you think are entirely orchestra, usually have some layers of synth or sound design (and almost certainly non-orchestral percussion). Hybrid scoring is some of the most fun music to write but also has its own unique challenges. It requires the composer to think like a producer while also considering the arrangement and techniques of the traditional symphonic orchestra. Part 3: I’m a composer, producer, and audio engineer focused on building immersive sonic worlds through cinematic storytelling, hybrid composition, and modern sound design. With over 15 years of experience in music and audio, my work blends orchestral writing, contemporary production, and atmospheric sound across games, film, and collaborative artist projects. Classically trained in composition and modern audio technology, I hold a Bachelor’s in Music Composition and a Master’s in Media Scoring.
