This important railway project is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹25 crores. With the completion of this chord line, several long-distance trains like Karnataka Sampark Kranti, AP Sampark Kranti, Yesvantpur–Lucknow Express, Visakhapatnam–Mahabubnagar Express, Kongu Express, and Wainganga Express can operate directly towards Secunderabad without going via the Malkajgiri route, helping to save nearly 1 hour of journey time.
