Preparing, planning, pre-positioning: strengthening Ethiopia’s capacity to deal with disasters
With funding from the EU, the Dutch Red Cross is supporting the Ethiopia Red Cross Society better prepare for natural hazards and human-induced disasters. Preparations include training for disaster preparedness and response, first aid training, ambulance maintenance, and pre-positioning of shelter and non-food items. This way, the Ethiopia Red Cross Society is fully prepared to respond more quickly and more efficiently when disaster strikes.
