KICKED OUT OF HIS OWN EMPIRE! The Final Years of Ron Dennis at McLaren

Ron Dennis, or Earl Grey as he should be known, was one of the big four bosses in F1 in the 90s. Along with Frank Williams, Jean Todt and Flavio Briatore. Building up the McLaren empire from the early 1980s, the team became one of the most successful teams in F1 history, and Dennis one of the most successful team bosses in history. But after 2008, it kind of fell apart. Weird directions with the cars, losing star driver Lewis Hamilton, losing sponsors and then the debacle with Honda all led to him being ousted from his own empire at the end of 2016. 9 years later, McLaren would once again have a drivers' and constructors' double. The first since Ron was in charge... back in 1998... So what things led to his downfall? Let's have a look, and see if it was self inflicted, or just one of those things that happens... Enjoy!
