As a boom operator you aren't catered to like a sound mixer so you may not have every manufacturer's boom poles available to you to test. If you don't live around a pro sound shop, you can try buying online but there's a high probability you'll not know if you like pole until you swing it around and if you don't, you have to pay for shipping to return it only to start the process over again. In this video I won't be telling you which boom pole is best but I will go over various things for you to contemplate when buying a boom pole.
