Introduction LC Subject Headings, Part I

Participants will learn how to assign main headings and how to build structured headings with topical free-floating subdivisions. Participants will learn how to find and make use of the Subject Headings Manual and will be introduced to Classification Web and Authorities.loc.gov as tools for selection of controlled vocabulary from LCSH.
