Operation Martlet 1944 Wargame | Quick Strike AAR

In late June 1944 Montgomery launches two operations--Epsom and Martlet--to attack the German stronghold of Caen from the west. But when the British attack runs into the 2nd SS Panzer Corps, this battle in the Odon River valley turns into an epic showdown. Today's wargame represents three days of action on a custom tabletop built by Bruce Weigle, played in 3mm scale. This is a playtest of Bruce's new operational WW2 rules, "Gained By Battle." You can learn more about Bruce's forthcoming game at his website: http://www.grandtacticalrules.com/ This video is our club's second "Quick Strike" battle report and we want YOU to join in our "Quick Strike Challenge!" There's a cash prize up for grabs! Just share one of your favorite games (under 10 minutes long!) with the hashtag #QuickStrike or just add "Quick Strike" in the description or title. The entire video you see here was produced and filmed with a single iPhone--no additional cameras, no microphone, and no special lighting.
