The air tragedy of December 8, 1987, when a Peruvian Navy Fokker F-27 crashed into the sea off Ventanilla, forever marked the history of the country and Peruvian football. On board were the Alianza Lima first team, their coaching staff—including the legendary Marcos Calderón—support staff, club officials, and military crew. In this video, we reconstruct, minute by minute, everything that happened according to the original script: from the departure from Pucallpa, the political and aeronautical context of Peru in 1987, the aircraft's technical limitations, the nighttime approach over a completely dark sea, and the factors that led to the controlled impact with the ocean. We explain why the combination of the black hole effect, the absence of modern warning systems, limited training, and a chain of silent decisions resulted in an accident classified as a controlled flight into terrain (CFIT). We also address the errors in the search, the discovery of the sole survivor—the flight commander—and how, years later, an internal Navy report came to light revealing organizational and technical failures that had gone unmentioned at the time. In addition, we analyze the impact on Peruvian soccer, the fans' response, the hasty rebuilding of the team with youth players and loaned-out players, and the historic brotherhood that emerged between Alianza Lima and Colo-Colo.
