Sudan conflict: What are other countries' interests? | DW News
Thousands of civilians are feared trapped in the Sudanese city of el-Fasher, and in imminent danger, after paramilitary Rapid Support Forces seized the city last Sunday. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has described the situation as 'absolutely apocalyptic'. Survivors who fled and reached the town of Tawila about 70 kilometers away spoke of mass killings, including of children, sexual violence, beatings and robberies. The UN says more than 65,000 people have fled el-Fasher, but tens of thousands remain. 00:00 Mass atrocities in el-Fasher, Sudan 00:49 Mary Brace, Nonviolent Peaceforce in Tawila, Sudan 02:29 Are people actually safe in Tawila? 04:07 Hamid Khalafallah, Sudan researcher & policy analyst 04:24 How are other countries involved in the Sudan conflict? 08:20 Christian Lindmeier, WHO For more news go to: http://www.dw.com/en/ Follow DW on social media: ►Instagram: / dwnews ►TikTok: / dwnews ►Facebook: / deutschewellenews ►Twitter: / dwnews Für Videos in deutscher Sprache besuchen Sie: / dwdeutsch Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/deutsche... #Sudan #elFasher #RSF
