Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Attends the Funeral of Iran's Late Supreme Leader At the invitation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended the funeral of Iran's late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. Leading a high-level Pakistani delegation, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and other senior government officials. On this solemn occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the late Supreme Leader's lifelong service to Islam and the Iranian nation, acknowledging his decades of visionary leadership, wisdom, and steadfast commitment. The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan's deepest condolences and unwavering solidarity with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, and the brotherly people of Iran. He prayed for the elevation of the late leader's ranks and for strength and patience for the bereaved nation. A parliamentary delegation led by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, along with Members of Parliament and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, also attended the funeral prayers.
