O God, come to my aid. Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through Him all things were created. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven, and by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered death, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, and who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I profess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and I await the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. Come, Holy Spirit, send down upon us from heaven a ray of your light. Come, Father of the poor, come, Giver of gifts, come, Light of hearts. Perfect Consoler; sweet guest of the soul, sweetest solace. In toil, rest, in heat, shelter, in tears, comfort. O most blessed light, invade the depths of the hearts of your faithful. Without your strength nothing is in man, nothing is without sin. Wash away what is sordid, water what is dry, heal what is bleeding. Bend what is rigid, warm what is cold, straighten what is astray. Grant your faithful who trust in you alone your holy gifts. Grant virtue and reward, grant a holy death, grant eternal joy. Saint Michael, assist me at the hour of death; bind the evil spirit, so that it cannot attack me or harm my soul.
