After switching from Tizen to WearOS with the Watch 4, the Watch 6 Classic continues this trend after the Watch 5 and also comes with an adapted WearOS 4 interface. Generation "5" still differentiated between the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, but now we have returned to the logic of the Watch 4 and named the models Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. And yes, the bezel is back on the Watch 4 Classic. The Watch 5 Classic once again has a physical rotating bezel, after the predecessors only had a digital version. Back on board is the BioActive Sensor, which allows monitoring of body function values (optical heart rate, electrical heart signal and bioelectrical impedance analysis) with one sensor. ECG and blood pressure are measured, as well as heart rate, blood oxygen and stress. Samsung itself says that the measurement is more accurate because the surface with skin contact has been enlarged. By the way, the measurement can also be performed during sleep, because sleep phases, snoring and the blood's oxygen content are measured there. The whole thing is supplemented by a sleep coach, which is supposed to show you the optimal wake-up phase. The batteries are unfortunately a problem again in this generation, according to the first tests, and come with 300 mAh in the small case variant and 425 mAh in the larger 47mm version. Especially for users of the Watch 5 Pro, like me, this means significantly less capacity (the Watch 5 Pro still had a 590 mAh battery), which will also have a significant impact on runtime. Unfortunately, the smaller battery does not help when it comes to weight either, because the Watch 6 Classic is "fatter" with 59 grams in the large version than the Watch 5 Pro with 46.5 grams. Incidentally, titanium is history as the case material, and now stainless steel is used again in the Classic version and aluminum in the normal version. It is certainly also interesting for many that the watch glass is once again made of sapphire glass and protects a display with a maximum diagonal of 1.5 inches and 480 x 480 pixels resolution on the Watch6 Classic. A slightly increased 2 GB of RAM and a constant 16 GB of storage space are impressive. The processor has also changed slightly, namely the Exynos W930 and thus an update to the predecessor is installed.
