Ohio is for TOMFOOLERY

This is our trip to Belmont, Ohio for the Forgotten Angels Summer Bash 2026, and as I am sitting here reflecting after coming back from another adventure. This one was criminally short, and I wanna continue traveling. I’ve come to a realization after hearing the phrase recently, and I’ll be paraphrasing quite a bit. But there will NEVER be a perfect opportunity to go out on an adventure. There will always be some sort of less than ideal condition. There could be a better bike, tow rig, route, setup, camera, etc. None of that shit matters, what matters is going out and taking the adventure in the first place, I’m learning this first hand. I was scared SHITLESS to tow with my WRX through the blue ridge mountains, but I got myself, my fiancé, my car and my bike to Ohio, a state I’ve never been to so I can camp out with some of the greatest people I’ve been able to be blessed to have in my life. The people of Forgotten Angels do such wonderful things to help so many people, and I’m eternally grateful to be able to have these experiences first hand. None of these adventures I’ve had would happen if I continued waiting for the right thing, the right weather, set of circumstances, etc. I wasted years waiting, hoping, rethinking and wasting my years not just going out and doing it. I didn’t leave the northeast until I turned 30 years old and took my first vacation, where I hopped in my truck and drove to the March 2023 Forgotten Angels campout where I got to meet so many people I’ve looked up to for years, and made so much family and memories. These people have supported me in all of my endeavors and have been some of the most supportive people I’ve ever had. Going to these campouts has been life changing, and if you’re wondering if you should go, just take the fucking adventure. I promise you, your soul will thank you.
