Barry suffered the loss of his father twice in his short life, once as a child and again in Henry's death. Each time, and like every moment between, Joe was there for him. There was nothing easy about raising a young boy who just watched his father be imprisoned for murdering his mother, nothing easy about being the support for a young man whose become something extraordinary. What was easy for Joe was loving that young boy, supporting that young man, and over time becoming the father that Barry always needed. Barry wasn't just like a son to Joe, Barry was his son. Set to "Love Can't Stand Alone" by Bear's Den. Joe and Barry's father and son relationship is my favorite dynamic on that show. Joe is an unsung hero, taking in a boy who just lost everything when he had nobody. I had to celebrate him. Thank you for watching!
