But the real challenge begins after the soak. I am setting out entirely ALONE on a solo day hike into the remote, virtually undocumented Jithang Valley. Sitting at an exact altitude of 13,093 feet (3,991 meters), Jithang is a mesmerizing alpine pasture deep in the Jithang-Mirathang sector. This trail is the gateway to legendary frontiers like the Gorichen Peak expedition, Gondorola Pass, and the historic Bailey Trail.
