Executive Chat with Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director Vogue, and Edward Enninful, Editor in chief British Vogue and European Editorial Director Vogue Digital transformation, sustainability, diversity – some of the major trends and disruptions impacting the media and creative industries are discussed by Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director Vogue, and Edward Enninful, Editor in chief British Vogue and European Editorial Director Vogue, in a conversation in the Executive Chats series with Rector Gianmario Verona. “Today we have this extraordinary opportunity where there are no borders. We can talk to our audiences on a global scale and across so many platforms,” highlights Wintour. Regards sustainability in the fashion business, Wintour believes “everybody is aware of this issue and are taking huge steps. Covid and this period of reflection has given us all time to consider how to approach fashion in a sustainable way. And today’s students need to help us.” Looking at digital transformation, Enninful says that “social media has opened us up to a world with no borders. We cannot ignore anymore what is out there and what the youth are looking at.” On a closing note talking about fashion weeks across Europe, Wintour says “we would love to see more celebration of diversity and inclusion”.
