Super Mario 64 DS - Infinite Coins in SSL

It's possible! 255 coins in SSL is real. To do this, you first need to enter Shifting Sand Land as Yoshi, and put on the Wario cap. Hit the tox box from the position I do with the correct angle. This will allow you to get OoB later. Now go over to the crazy box near the pillar. The crazy box can be moved by eating it and then being hit by an enemy or by a tornado just as it enters your mouth. You'll also need to spit the box out if you use a tornado. To get it to the ideal spot for this glitch, the tornado needs to be used. Get the crazy box about half way down the sand next to the pyramid, and then go and get OoB by running against the tox box. This next part is extremely precise. You need to grab the crazy box, but not be killed by the quicksand. You also need to make it over to the water in time: this is the only ground that is low enough to stand on. If you don't get there fast enough the crazy box will explode, and in this video I had about 4 frames until this happened. Now Yoshi should be holding the crazy box, which he is never usually able to do. If you slide down a slope on your front, then Yoshi will start using the crazy box. However when he lands, the box will not break, and can be reused, allowing you to get infinite coins. Rolling out from the sliding animation, getting hurt, entering water, getting squished and touching a tornado will all cause the box to break. There doesn't seem to be a spot where you can easily hold a certain direction and then wait until you get to 255 coins, like there is in TTM (   • Super Mario 64 DS With Glitches - Part 29:...  . I did show off the best spot I found, boucing between two pillars, but this spot is nowhere near perfect as you will often miss one of the pillars, and landing and then sliding into a pillar will cause you to bonk which ends the glitch. Due to the extreme difficulty of this trick it won't ever be done in real-time anyway, so I guess there's not really a need for one.
