Is the Hasselblad 200 Series Still the Best Investment in 2026 and Beyond? From my perspective, this is what I believe about investing in a camera. For me, it’s about the value and the happiness we get from buying a camera with lenses that produce beautiful image quality. It’s about being able to use it for a very long time without ever having to worry about finding a repair service. "This is what I believe is truly worth investing in." And then, when the time comes, we can pass that camera on to someone in our family — to our children or grandchildren. It’s about passing on happiness and passing on inspiration to others.There’s nothing better than giving something truly good to one another. Only 9,500 units of the 200 series were ever made. [201F, 202FA, 203FE, 205TCC and 205FCC] And 95% of the original Hasselblad technicians have already retired. That’s why my team and I spent 2.5 years and over $100,000 training, reverse-engineering, and rebuilding these cameras from the ground up. The 200 series was ahead of its time: 1/2000s shutter, f/2 lenses, and incredible sharpness. It broke all the limits of the 500 series.
