BACKPACKING YOSEMITE | Polly Dome, Raisin & May Lake

We’re back! It’s been too long since our last (and first) backpacking trip (a year ago) and this time we’re exploring Yosemite’s high country: Polly Dome Lakes, Raisin Lake, and May Lake. This was a super last minute trip, we got permits the week before and did not anticipate the government shutdown. It was very chill, we self-registered, and got ourselves onto the trail. Lots of lessons learned from our first backpacking trip that we were able to apply to this one. One thing we anticipated were colder temps! Last year in October, there was a heat wave of 80-90 degrees, and this time we've got highs of low 70s and lows of 20-30s!
