One of the Proudest Lines on Grit | Unfamiliar
Unfamiliar E7 6c , One of the proudest lines on grit without any doubt. Most climbers around the north of the UK have been to Stanage Plantation, this trad route/arete is slap bang in the middle and looms over you every time you walk up. Always been inspired by this climb since that epictv video of Mina-Leslie Wujastyk came out a long time ago. _________________________________________________________________________ 6th October 2021 Joe Mullet pisses up unfamiliar, excited to see what Joe is able to lead in a few years. Worth noting that it was actually drizzling when he was sending the climb, you can clearly see rain fall in the very last shot of the video, where he tops out! I had to hold the camera with one hand and put my other hand over the finishing hold to stop it getting damp. The start boulder is technical font 7c/V9, but you cant just boulder bro your way up this one! Hopefully this gets some climbers excited on the upcoming grit season, and more hard headpoints incoming. Lets go!!
