Winner Powerboat of the Year Innovation Award 2024 The Northman 1050 Trawler Electric has been crowned ‘Motorboat of the Year 2024’. On the evening prior to the Hiswa te Water boatshow in the Netherlands, the innovation award was handed over to the Dutch and family-owned innovative boat company Natural Yachts by unanimous vote of the Jury. After extensive sea trials on the IJsselmeer, the judges came to the following findings. 'The Northman 1050 Trawler Electric from Natural Yachts is an electric-powered trawler with an enormous amount of practical space on barely 10 metres of boat length. Many surprising choices have been made in this yacht that work out particularly well. The flybridge is accessible from the foredeck. On top, you can store a sea of solar panels. The boat was solidly constructed, well finished and was easy to manoeuvre. ‘The Northman seems excellently tailored to a large target group,’ said the powerboat jury of the Hiswa Boat of the Year election.
