Montreal's Eaton Center is the largest shopping mall of Downtown Montreal located on its busiest street for shopping : Sainte-Catherine Street. It offers a connection to the Montreal Underground City with its many other shopping malls such as Promenades Cathédrale, Place Montreal Trust and Place Ville-Marie as well as a direct indoor access to McGill metro station on the green line. The Eaton Center mall opened initially under the name of "Les Terrasses" in 1976. However in 1989, renovation works of the mall started and the mall was demolished then reconstructed. The reconstructed mall opened in 1990 under the name of "Eaton Center". It holds 4 floors opened to the public, more than 200 shops, restaurants & services as well as a food court.
