Speakers: Maurizio de Giovanni, writer Caterina Kolosimo, journalist and writer Alessandra Kolosimo, bioarchaeologist, Stockholm University Peter Kolosimo (1922-1984), journalist and writer, became a national and international publishing phenomenon starting in 1969, when he won the Bancarella Prize in Italy with his book "Non è terrestre," which was subsequently translated worldwide. For the first time, people began to hear about mysterious archaeology and enigmatic finds, the pyramids scattered around the world, the origins of life on Earth, extraterrestrials and UFOs, all written in a popular and engaging style. Kolosimo thus became the creator and main driving force behind innovative studies, the founder of a literary and research genre that fascinated millions of readers who devoured the numerous volumes he wrote until the early 1980s, which are still reprinted and beloved by the public today. But his personal story also deserves to be remembered, rich as it was with adventurous events that were integral to the history of the 20th century. Maurizio de Giovanni, a well-known and beloved writer, will discuss Peter Kolosimo, assisted by Caterina Kolosimo and Alessandra Kolosimo, who will help us reconstruct the complex and multifaceted figure of an extraordinary author of the last century. Maurizio de Giovanni was born in 1958 in Naples, where he lives and works. He has published four series in the crime and noir genres: the series featuring Inspector Ricciardi (Einaudi), set in the early 1930s, comprising twelve novels; the series I Bastardi di Pizzofalcone (Einaudi), set in contemporary Naples, comprising twelve novels so far; the series dedicated to Sara Morozzi (Rizzoli); and the series featuring Mina Settembre (Einaudi). In February 2022, the novel "L'accordo del cuore" was published by Mondadori, in May of the same year "Un volo per Sara" was released by Rizzoli, and the new chapter in the Inspector Ricciardi saga, "Caminito. An April for Inspector Ricciardi," is scheduled for release on November 29th. Caterina Kolosimo, born in Bolzano to Venetian parents, met Peter Kolosimo, 38, at the age of 18, and they immediately fell in love and developed a working partnership that would last until his death in 1984. Caterina recognized the brilliance of her husband and mentor and passionately supported him in his work, developing a personal interest in alternative medicine and Eastern disciplines. She specializes in dream interpretation, writes books on dreams, writes a popular column in the monthly magazine Astra, contributes to major women's magazines, and hosts television segments for Canale 5, Rai 3, and Rai 2. "The Great Book of Dreams" and "The Book of Magical Plants" will soon be reprinted by Libraio Editore. Alessandra Kolosimo, a graduate of Aegean Antiquities from La Sapienza University in Rome and a specialist in Bioarchaeology from Stockholm University, has participated in archaeological excavations in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and Sweden since 1991.
