Philadelphia-native, Ronald Mitchell, was an essential piece to Langston University's historic season (35-2) that fell just short in the 2024 NAIA National Championship game. Mitchell, a senior who previously played in the NCAA for U-MASS Lowell & Sam Houston State, was an absolute torch for LU this past season. His lethal three-point jumpshot, textbook shooting mechanics, and TRUE NBA range set him up to be a dynamic playmaker when attacking the close out as he found teammates with ease all season long. The former Division 1 Point Guard took on a much needed scoring role for Langston, but still showed great understanding of how to run a high-powered offense when needed. Mitchell recorded 11 (!!!) games in which he knocked down more than 3 three-pointers en route to draining 65 shots total from deep throughout the season, which were both good for 2nd on the team despite being just 5th on the team in minutes per game. Ronald has shown that he is a sniper from the outside throughout his collegiate career, and that, along with his athletic ability and natural feel for the game, is why he'll play at the next level. Mitchell competed in 118 games at the collegiate level. Ronald also won a City Championship with the famed Fairfax High School (Los Angeles) in 2019.
