Some places inspire you to play before you even think about recording. Deeg Palace was one of those places. The weather was beautiful, there was a peaceful silence in the air, and as I sat there with my sarangi, Raag Bhairav felt like the only thing that belonged to that moment. What you hear is completely raw—a single take, without any microphone, effects, or post-processing. Just the sound of the sarangi blending with the natural reverb of the old mahal, which has been holding and returning sounds for centuries.
