My 16 year old daughter's first car - full detail

My 16 year old daughter is a chip off the old block and is desperate to start driving this summer when she turns 17. She has been saving for many years and earlier this month bought her first car, a 2007 Mini One. Overall the Mini is in good condition and will make a great reliable and stylish car for my daughter. The bodywork and mechanicals are all good for a 16 year old car, but the paintwork was looking dull and flat, and there were several marks on the interior. Switching to Detailing Dad mode, I gave the Mini a 2 stage paint correction and machine polish before applying a wax coat to protect the exterior. The trim was restored and chome work polished. The lights were also machine polished to remove some of the oxidation. The interior was vacuumed and clean, and the front seat bases were scrubbed and wet vacuumed to remove some small marks and stains. Finally the glass was cleaned and the tyres dressed. I’m delighted with how this little car has turned out for my daughter, much better than I first expected.
