Semblanza de Wiler Vidaurre Tapia

The School of Art and Talents in the city of Cochabamba is a family-run business that aims to provide academic training in theater, with a social commitment to developing human and artistic resources that contribute to cultivating talent in dance, singing, and acting. Wiler Vidaurre Tapia is the school's director. He trained in Theater at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in Film at the Avellaneda Film School in Buenos Aires, as well as in Social Communication. His wife, Zulma Galván Romero, a psychologist, is also involved in this family endeavor. Together with their children Raymi, Nahuel, Aaron, and Noah, in addition to their artistic training at the school, they develop a series of theatrical performances at the local and national levels, and also participate in a number of international theater festivals. Wiler Vidaurre Tapia says that his heart is made of theater. He also considers himself a proud father and a "dedicated advocate for the joy of theater," where his wife and children, all involved in art and theater, develop an artistic experience that is not very common in our community. Through the cultural initiatives they undertake as a family, they achieve personal and familial growth. They are also involved in the artistic training of children and young people, who find in the School of Art and Talents spaces to develop skills and abilities in singing, poetry, and acting—skills that are so needed in our community. In addition to being a playwright and the director of the School, Vidaurre is a Cultural Manager who contributes to workshops for public servants in the municipality of Cercado, as well as in the provinces that require his services. It is worth noting that Wiler Vidaurre was born in the mining district of Tasna, located in the Nor Chichas Province in southern Potosí, in the Central South Council, Quechisla Mining Company. He spent his childhood there, in a mining town with a theater, sports fields, and cultural and artistic activities that sparked his interest. After completing his Technical-Humanistic Baccalaureate at the Víctor Manuel Ayllón School in Telamayu, where his passion for automotive mechanics—his other love—also emerged, he decided to move to Argentina to study Theater, Film, and Social Communication. Once settled in Cochabamba, he had the opportunity to work at Tra La La Show with the Travesí-Molina family, and later with Jenny Serrano. After some time, he conceived his own initiative, the School of Art and Talents, where he is both the owner and the general director. A family business worth highlighting.
